How do I choose a Product?
That’s the fun and easy part! Most crafters are inclined to choose by color choice or have a specific visual need for their craft. Those needs may be to create a centre of interest, add additional color to a number of elements on a page or contain a small object. Whatever choices you make remember; it’s all about what you as the maker want to communicate. This is easily answered by asking yourself a simple question; what do I want the person I share my creative work with to understand? Is it a tangible memory, a feeling or simply a message of appreciation? Knowing what you want is sometimes difficult. Start anywhere! Simply remain open to new ideas and your work will develop along nicely. Taking classes, working with others and attending seminars are a great way to be more comfortable with the creative process and make some life long friendships.

What Product Groups are Available?
Twelve main product groups are available for your choosing:
Slide Frames - available in 72 colors and 40 imprinted frames. Used to “frame” creative elements or as an embellishment.
Designer Tiles - available in 72 colors. Use for backings with Slide Frames or as a stand-alone embellishment.
Shaker Frames - available in 72 colors. Pre-made shaker frames with acetates.
Large Format Frames – available in 4 larger sizes and shapes. Use for embellishing with wrappings.
Craft Boxes – available in two shapes, 42 colors. Use them to organize all your crafting supplies.

Easy to Use, Thin, Light and Archival
The products easily attach to any paper or cardstock using double sided tape, Herma Tabs, Tape or Glue Dots. Our plastic Slide Frames and Designer Tiles are very thin (.07mm) and lightweight. Shaker Frames and Large Format Frames are slightly thicker may require a more robust attachment – often solved with addition of Glue Dots or tape. Our products will not add bulk to your scrapbook pages. All products also meet exacting archival standards providing “maximum protection and peace of mind” to your creative crafts.

Get Creative - Embellishing the Embellishment!

Embellishing with Creative Elements
Once the basics are mastered, it’s time to get creative. The neatest thing about Loersch products is that they are an embellishment that can be embellished! All you need are Glue Dots and an embellishment that fits with your theme. Go ahead and add stickers, buttons, bead or even washers! You can also use adhesive fabrics or specialty papers to create a collage effect around the frame. Many crafters use the torn edge scraps from their pages as wrapping to make the perfect color combinations. (Often crafters will be informal with the wrapping and allow the color of the Loersch item to peek through). Use fiber or ribbon to wrap the slide and adhere the end with a Glue Dot. Often a quick look through your crafting supplies will lead you to find that special something to make the Slide Frame just right! Be creative and have fun with it!

Stamping, Marking and Painting
Use your rubber stamps to make a design or pattern is a wonderful way to add distinction to your creative efforts. Just be sure to use Staz On Ink or any other permanent ink pad. Also, Hot Tools like the Hot Marks, Dremel tool or small bit on a regular power drill to make holes in it for brads, fiber or wire attachments. You can also mark up the surface to create additional texture. Add more color or texture with acrylic paint or specialty paints such as Krylon, for suede, metallic or stone effects. Cover the slide with double-sided tape and press on microbeads or glitter. Rub-Ons can also add a personal touch for words, phrases, dates, or names.

Loersch Product Specific Uses


Slide Frames  
Slide Frames are one of the hottest products in use today. They are 2” x 2” with a rectangular hole in them. They are like a micro picture mat. They can be used all by themselves – or - can highlight a photo, a word or phrase, create a design, draw attention to a date, or a special trinket. You can also build up layers of mounts with differing colors or use a backing from our Designer Tile line. (see below – Designer Tiles with Slide Frames). We also have pre-printed frames to portray a specific theme or message to accent a picture on a handmade card. Our extensive color choices make it easy to add new and exciting elements to your layouts for scrapbooking pages. They are our most widely used product.

New for 2004! - Designer Tiles as a Stand Alone 
The Designer Tile as a stand-alone embellishment by itself is an exciting product to use. Think of them as a micro-thin, solid surfaces to glue and add embellishments to. They are “a page unto themselves”. Embellished in the same ways as the Slide Frames, Designer Tiles are a great shape to work with. Designer Tiles have a 50% larger surface than the Slide Frames to add even more embellished elements. Designer Tiles work fantastically as color accents or backgrounds for stick-on-lettering, stamping or pictures. Currently many crafters are treating Designer Tiles as tiny pages. Add a unique and special feature to your creative abilities. They are available in all 72 colors too!

Designer Tiles with Slide Frames
In addition to our Slide Frames, we also have created the “Designer Tile”. It has the same 2” x 2” outer dimensions as our regular frame. It is solid with no opening. A popular use for this product is as a backing to the regular Slide Frame. Any two frames can snap together, providing a multitude of two color combinations to work with. Think of the possibilities! Many creative crafters combine the Slide Frames with the Designer Tiles but at a different angle creating a star effect.

Large Format Frames
Large Format Frames are a unique item to add to your crafting. They are available in four differing sizes and shapes. Larger than Slide Frames, Large Format Frames are great for wrapping and embellishing. Use them as frames for bigger pictures or lettering.

Shaker Frames
To create shaker cards, simply add foam backing, and fill it with confetti or embellishments. We have an extensive array of color choices. You can also make shaker boxes by pressing the frames together to form a single smooth mount. Glue them together with super glue gel, putting together as many whole frames as you need. Place a shaker frame on the front and back of the stack to make a totally enclosed box. Shaker cubes or memory cubes are a fun twist on this idea. Glue six shaker mounts into a 2x2x2 inch cube. For that finishing touch add family photos or fill with fun embellishments.

Craft Storage Boxes
Craft Storage Boxes are a super way to organize you supplies. Two shapes are available a thinner Flat Box and a Rectangular Box. Both hold the same amount. (42 Slide Frames). The Rectangular Box is great for larger craft embellishments, the thinner Flat Box has a small divider to separate items. Both styles come with translucent lids.
